During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of both our customers and our staff. In this coronavirus update, we explain the precautions that we will take should we need to visit your home or business due to a blocked drain or emptying a septic tank.
When requesting a call-out
When you contact us to book a call-out to your home or business, please advise us if anyone in your household has Covid-19 symptoms, is in quarantine, has been advised to arrange a test or is awaiting test results.
We will arrange a specific day and time to visit your property and we will telephone you when we are outside. We will remind you about the two metre social distancing rule and explain that both of us will follow this guidance during the visit, both outdoors and indoors.
What we will do during a call-out
Most of our work takes place outside so we will enter a home of business only if absolutely necessary. Our staff will wear masks, wash hands regularly, use hand sanitiser and adhere to the two metre social distancing guidelines. We will bring our own towel to dry our hands and will clean any objects/surfaces we touch with anti-bacterial spray or wipes. At the end of our visit, we will make sure that we take away all personal belongings, tools and waste.
What customers should do during a call-out
Customers should maintain two metre social distancing from our staff as well as wearing a mask or mouth covering such as a scarf. They should also clean door handles before and after a visit as well as leaving doors open to any room that we may need access to eg bathroom or kitchen. Open the windows in any room that we may need access to and keep all family members and pets out of the room that we are working in.
Thank you for taking the time to read this coronavirus update and we very much appreciate your co-operation at this challenging time. If you would like to talk to us about the COVID-19 precautions which we are taking, please call us on 07925 153827.
Stay safe
